Postgraduate Course: Percutaneous Valvular Therapies
| Objectives: |
Attendees will be informed about the current state of the art of percutaneous aortic valve replacement, transapical aortic valve replacement, and percutaneous mitral valve repair, both edge to edge and coronary sinus-based annuloplasty, including numbers of procedures performed and results to date.
Attendees will learn about the technical and anatomical hurdles associated with each procedure, and will gain an understanding of the tools and techniques required for successful implementation of each approach.
Attendees will see which patients are currently being referred for each of these new technologies, and will gain an appreciation for where these procedures may be headed over the next 5-10 years. |
