Video Abstract:
This video demonstrates a novel minimally invasive robotic approach to cure the continuous atrial fibrillation. Using the da Vinci Surgical System a series of port incisions (8-18mm) are made in the right chest and a full left sided maze ablation is carried out with the closure of left atrial appendage. To date 9 patients have undergone this Cox-CryoMaze with a 100% conversion to normal sinus rhythm.
